My Bio

Let's be acquainted!

Hi, everyone! My name is Yara. I was born and raised in Ukraine. We have 3 kids. I have graduated from the Medical University in my native country. Being a Medical Doctor  Psychiatrist I spent
lots of time consulting the patient including kids . When I was on maternity leave taking care of my kids I
started gathering the information about educational system. I learned a lot about different traditional and
alternative methods of education . Finally I decided to become an Early Childhood Educator.  I earned my Bachelor's
degree in Early Childhood Education and Speech Language Therapy
I started working in a daycare
centre as a psychoeducator, combine both of my backgrounds . My duties included behavior analysis,
early intervention and psychotherapy treatment.

Later my family moved to Canada. I started to work in a daycare with kids with special needs and as a
teacher assistant in the Elementary school. I had a great opportunity to compare the advantages of
European and American teaching style . Now I use both approaches in my work.

I evaluated my pedagogical  diploma and obtained a certificate as an Early Childhood, Infant Toddler and Special Needs Educator in British Columbia, Canada.
I  graduated from my Post Master's Art Therapy Clinical Diploma program with Canadian
International Institute of Art Therapy and became a Professional Art Therapist.

I worked as an ECE  with the students
with special needs in a Montessori preschool in Victoria. I have also taken a special course working with
the kids with special needs using art therapy methods.  I have completed the 1 year course “Making Sense
of Kids “ of Neufeld Institute.

I am open to learn new things and apply my knowledge into practice right away. That is
how I can successfully combine my strong educational background with the practical experience.
I know how to help kids to grow happy and healthy!  I am able to provide them support  in many areas and guarantee them academical, social and emotional support.

Everyone knows it is important to raise a happy and healthy kid! But it becomes possible only if the
adult will provide the child with comprehensive and balances environment as well as sufficient free play
time .

Doctor Maria Montessori said “It is true that we cannot make a genius. We can only give to teach
child the chance to fulfil his potential possibilities.”
